End Time Events & Israel

End Time Events

Many Old Testament verses prophesy the end of the world. Isaiah 2:19-3:2 is unique in tying humanity's abandonment of idols with that end. It's events will be more fully described by the Apostle John's book of Revelation centuries later. This uniqueness is highlighted by the numbers Numerics Gematria.

And men shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from before the terror of the lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth. In that day men will cast forth their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats, to enter the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs, from before the terror of the lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth. Turn away from man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he? For, behold, the Lord, the lord of hosts, is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water; the mighty man and the soldier, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, (Isaiah 2:19-3:2 RSV)

Israel At The End

It is uncertain whether the two verses at the end of this text segment (which are part of the next chapter) really go with end time events, or are a separate prophecy about Israel. However, since the end of the world cannot exclude Israel, it seems reasonable to assume these last two verses will apply even if they are a separate prophecy. After all, the nation of Israel has already come to an end twice in history.

Aside from the 144,000 who will be sealed out of Israel (Revelation 7:4), the book of Revelation says very little about the nation itself. The fact that the Antichrist and the kings of the world can all gather at Armageddon (Revelation 16:16) without any mention of Israel indicates Israel is completely unable to resist. Most likely Israel will fall, like any other nation, to the deception that sweeps the world (Revelation 16:13-15).

Isaiah's prophecy fits right in with Revelation's end time events. First there is mention of Judah and Jerusalem. Modern day Israel is descended mainly from the tribe of Judah, the southern kingdom. The northern kingdom fell in 722 B.C. and was never reconstituted. The removal of life's essentials (food and water) is very likely with all the disasters overwhelming the world. It would also be possible if the Antichrist applied sanctions, something which never existed at any time in history until the modern world.

The Antichrist's invasion, along with the rulers of the world's most powerful nations would eclipse or remove anyone of note in Israel itself. This is because the Antichrist claims sole authority to represent humanity in opposing the rider on the white horse from heaven (Revelation 19:11, 19).

Isaiah's prophecy continues with others being taken away.

-the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor and the skilful magician and the expert in charms. And I will make boys their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people will oppress one another, every man his fellow and every man his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the base fellow to the honorable. (Isaiah 3:3-5 RSV)

The word boys in verse 4 is associated with the young, but the word babes in the RSV is very inappropriate. This same word appears in Isaiah 66:4 translated as affliction. The Hebrew meaning is caprice (as a fit coming on), that is, vexation; concretely a tyrant: - babe, delusion.3

Isaiah depicts modern society. The inexperienced gain political power, and politicians either sell the Antichrist's delusions, or do whatever they want like tyrants once elected. Economic competition means everyone oppresses their neighbours, and hecklers harass their betters.

The fate of modern Israel joins the rest of the world. No longer is Israel a special people chosen or called out for God.

As terrible and depressing as this sounds this prophecy cannot be ignored or swept aside. Isaiah and the Apostle John are two witnesses agreeing on the end of the world. The numbers Numerics Gematria show God’s signature in these verses and confirm the truth of this prophecy. It will be true for the world, and it will be true for Israel.

The Chapters

1.1First and last verse of each chapter: 10388 = 2 x 2 x 7 x 7 x 53.

1.2First letter of each chapter: 130 = 2 x 5 x 13

1.3Last word of each chapter: 259 = 7 x 37.

The Verses

2.1.1The totals of the first and last verses together: 4858 = 2 x 7 x 347.

2.1.2They are divisible by 7 individually as well. 3374 = 3374 = 2 x 7 x 241. 1484 = 2 x 2 x 7 x 53.

2.1.3Positions of these two verses added together: 7.

3.Number of words: 77 = 7 x 11. God appears in the two 7s, in the factors with one 7, and also in the 11 as the same one God first and last.

3.1Number of letters: 322 = 2 x 7 x 23. The prophecy is from God, as seen by the factor 7, and it is about Israel (23 is the number of humanity).

3.2Numeric total: 18424 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 7 x 47. Two factors of seven confirm the prophecy.

4.God places His signature in the first letter and last letters of each word.

4.3Position total: 12785 = 5 x 2557. SF: 2562 = 2 x 3 x 7 x 61. Mirroring the feature above, it is the second level of factors that is divisible by seven.

4.4Letter total: 6524 = 2 x 2 x 7 x 233.

4.5First and last together: 1897 + 6524 = 8421 (3 x 7 x 401).

4.6.Letters that are not first or last: 10003 = 7 x 1429.

5.Odd and even are complementary categories like first and last or beginning and end (Revelation 1:8). The words are categorized by the number of letters.

6.2.2.1Once again the positions are divisible by seven: 42882 = 2 x 3 x 7 x 1021.

6.2.2.2And once again the value of the letters is not divisible by seven: 18222 = 2 x 3 x 3037. SF: 3042 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 13 x 13. But on examining the next level of factors we find two 13s, the number related to God’s name.
