Bible Numbers 2.0

Combining Rules

In this section, the rules from Revelation 1:8 are combined in various ways to find more features.

The Divine Name And The Beginning And The End

29.The totals of the first or last letters of each word in the passage are not the only ones yielding sums divisible by 7. The letters of the Divine Name (10-5-6-5) are interwoven with the positions of the first and last letters of each word.

29.1The first word's first letter sits in position 1. Add 10 (first letter of the Divine Name), and record the letter found, and continue for all the words in the passage.

a) Position of first letter b) (a) + 10 c) Letter found.

The sum of line c: 1732

Repeat the process by adding 5 (2nd letter of the Divine Name) instead of 10.

a) Position of first letter b) (a) + 5 c) Letter found.

a) 1 6 10 14 16 20 25 28 32 35 38 42 45 48 54 57 60 64 69

The sum of line c: 1320

And finally using 6 (3rd letter of the Divine Name).

a) Position of first letter b) (a) + 6 c) Letter found.

a) 1 6 10 14 16 20 25 28 32 35 38 42 45 48 54 57 60 64
b) 7 12 16 20 22 26 31 34 38 41 44 48 51 54 60 63 66 70
c) 5 6 200 6 50 200 40 2 6 400 200 30 80 50 6 70 9 50

a) 69 73 75 79 82 85 89 91 95 98 101 105 107 112 115
b) 75 79 81 85 88 91 95 97 101 104 107 111 113 118 2
c) 10 80 4 1 400 2 6 30 2 40 300 40 70 10 10

The sum of line c: 2415

29.1.1The results from each section added together (c): 1732 + 1320 + 2415 = 5467 = 7 x 11 x 71. Two of the factors have the digit 7. The third factor is 11 (one God at the beginning and end.)

29.1.2Only three of the Divine Name's letters were used above. If all four were used: 1732 + 1320 + 2415 + 1320 = 6787 = 11 x 617. This is not divisible by 7 or 13. The number 11 again points back to God. 11 is appropriate since this entire technique is based on the first and last letter positions of each word.

The factors of 6787 produce a chain of factors ending in 7. (SF:628 = 2 x 2 x 157 SF:161 = 7 x 23 SF:30 = 5 x 3 x 2 SF:10 = 5 x 2 SF:7)

29.2The technique above can be applied to the positions of the last letters of each word. In this case, rather than adding 10, 5 and 6 to each position, they are subtracted.

Subtracting 10 from the position of the last letter of each word.

The sum of line c: 1692

Subtracting 6.

a) Position of last letter b) (a) - 6 c) Letter found.

a) 5 9 13 15 19 24 27 31 34 37 41 44 47 53 56 59 63 68

c) 9 5 5 10 5 70 50 400 2 40 2 10 70 30 70

The sum of line c: 1817

29.2.1 The results of each section added together (c): 1531 + 1692 + 1817 = 5040. 5040 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 7. The sum of the factors points back to the Divine Name: 26 = 2 x 13.

29.2.2Accounting for all four letters of the Divine Name: 1531 + 1692 + 1817 + 1692 = 6732 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 11 x 17 (or 11 x 612). This parallels what was found (26Aii) above. Using all four letters of the Divine Name does not produce a factor of 7, but the same factor of 11 appears.

Amazingly, the chain of factors from 6732 also ends at 7. (SF:38 = 2 x 19 SF:21 = 7 x 3 SF:10 = 5 x 2 SF:7)

29.3Part A and B considered the first and last letter positions separately. Combining them produces another feature.

29.3.1From 29.1.1 and 29.2.1: 5467 + 5040 = 10507 = 7 x 19 x 79. There is no chain of factors, but the sum of the factors is divisible by 7. (SF: 105 = 3 x 5 x 7)

29.3.2From 29.1.2 and 29.2.2: 6787 + 6732 = 13519 = 11 x 1229. Like part A and B, there is no factor of 7, but the chain of factors ends at 7. (SF:1240 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 31 SF:42 = 2 x 3 x 7 SF:12 = 2 x 2 x 3 SF:7)

29.4The 7th and 17th letters before or after the first and last letters of each word also provide numeric features. Why 7 and 17? Because the passage has 119 letters (17 x 7).

29.4.1The 7th letter after the first letter of each word: 1364 (a) [11 x 124]
The 17th letter after the first letter of each word: 1852 (b)

The 7th letter before the last letter of each word: 1086 = 2 x 3 x 181 (c) [181 x 6]
The 17th letter before the last letter of each word: 1970 (d)

None of the four totals above are divisible by 7. But in this case, we are not looking at God, but at 17 and 7 in the structure of the entire verse. Thus considering the whole or sum total: 6272 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 7. (SF: 28 = 2 x 2 x 7 SF: 11)

29.4.2Line (a) plus line (c): 1364 + 1086 = 2450 = 2 x 5 x 5 x 7 x 7 [The 7th letter after the first letter of each word added to the 7th letter before the last letter of each word].

29.4.3Line (b) plus line (d): 1852 + 1970 = 3822 = 2 x 3 x 7 x 7 x 13 [The 17th letter after the first letter of each word added to the 17th letter before the last letter of each word].

Both 29.4.2 and 29.4.3 are divisible by 49 (7 x 7), and one by 13.

29.5This feature is similar to the ones above. The number 13, a factor from the Divine Name, is used instead of 17 or 7.

a) The 13th letter before the first letter of each word: 2367
b) The 13th letter after the first letter of each word: 2189 [11 x 199]
c) The 13th letter before the last letter of each word: 1392 [232 x 6 or 696 x 2]
d) The 13th letter after the last letter of each word: 1334.

29.5.1Line (a) + line (c): 2367 + 1392 = 3759 = 7 x 3 x 179 [13th letter before the first letter of each word plus the 13th letter before the last letter of each word].

29.5.2Line (b) + line (d): 2189 + 1334 = 3523 = 13 x 271 [13th letter after the first letter of each word plus the 13th letter after the last letter of each word].

The number 13 stands on it's own with features because it is a factor of the Divine Name. But there is also another factor of the Divine Name: 2.

e) 2nd letter before the first letter of each word: 2214 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 41
f) 2nd letter after the first letter of each word: 2070 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 23
g) 2nd letter before the last letter of each word: 1797 = 3 x 599
h) 2nd letter after the last letter of each word: 1743 = 3 x 7 x 83.

Alone, the number 2 is not very unique. Perhaps this is since every other number is divisible by 2. In other words, it is very common. However, combining it with what was found for the number 13 produces an entirely different result.

29.5.3Lines e + g: 2214 + 1797 = 4011 (3 x 7 x 191).

29.5.4Lines a + d + e + h: 2367 + 1334 + 2214 + 1743 = 7658 (2 x 7 x 547).

29.5.5Lines b + c + f + g: 2189 + 1392 + 2070 + 1797 = 7448 (2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 7 x 19 SF:39 = 3 x 13).

29.5.6Lines b + e: 2189 + 2214 = 4403 (7 x 11 x 37).

29.5.7Lines e + f: 2214 + 2070 = 4284 (2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 7 x 17).

Replacing a single word with it's synonym to achieve a numeric result is easy. Planning the letters and words before and after a specific point is much more difficult. Doing this over and over again throughout the entire passage is humanly impossible. These features truly show God is first and last, beginning and end. God is one of order.

Alpha & Omega, Beginning & End

30.1Four words begin with the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

          Word Letters Word
          Position Sum

          4 1-30 31
          7 1-200-20 221
          8 1-80-10-40 131
          24 1-2-6-400 409

30.1.1The last letters of these four words: 400, 30, 40, 20 add up to 490.

490 = 7 x 7 x 5 x 2 SF:21 = 7 x 3 SF:10 = 5 x 2 SF:7.

30.1.2The first letters of these four words add up to 4, which yields no feature but refer to the four letters of the Divine Name. Include the first and the last letters together: 4 + 490 = 494. (Note the symmetry.) And 494 = 13 x 2 x 19. The factor for the Divine Name appears.

30.1.3 The positions of the first and last words in this list add up to 28 (7 x 2 x 2).

30.2Two words end with the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

          Word Letters Word
          Position Sum

          11 6-1-40-400 447
          24 1-2-6-400 409

30.2.1The first letters of these two words: 1, 6 add up to 7.

30.2.2The positions of these two words (first and last in the list): 24 + 11 = 35 = 7 x 5 SF:12 = 3 x 2 x 2 SF:7.

30.3Combine the two lists.

30.3.1The sum of the word positions from A) and B) is 78 (13 x 3 x 2).

30.3.2These six words have 21 letters (7 x 3).

30.3.3 The 24th word is in both lists. If it was removed from one list, the total of the two lists together would be 1239 (3 x 7 x 59).

30.3.4The positions of the first and last letters of these words:

Word: 4 7 8 11 24
1st letter position: 14 25 28 38 85
last letter position: 15 27 31 41 88

The sum of the first and last letter positions: 392 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 7.

Alpha and Omega combined with beginning and end produce a different set of features, once again emphasizing the separate unique qualities of each of the phrases in Revelation 1:8. We can use other combinations from Revelation like keys.

Is, Was, Is To Come

This simple phrase from Revelation 1:8 reveals other astonishing numeric features in the Exodus verse. Is, was and is to come deals with time. The Exodus verse can be viewed as a time line. For each word (is), there is a word that was before it, and a word that is to come after it. The same can apply to the letters.

And if the Exodus verse is curved like a circle (or duplicated at either end), with the first and last words next to each other, it can be read over and over again. The word before the first word, is the last word of the previous duplicated verse. The word after the last word in the verse, is the first word of the next duplicated set.

(The reason for doing this can be found in Revelation 4:8 - 'And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!'

In essence, is, was and is to come pulls three consecutive words or letters from specific points in the Exodus verse.

In many numeric studies, the number 3 is assumed to refer to the Trinity. Now the number 3 appears quite often, but this is only to be expected since every third number is divisible by 3. But there is a forgotten factor that is even more common than 3. It shows up every time and everywhere, even with zero and prime numbers. This is the number one, pointing to the one God. In this study, the number three refers to the physical nature of the one God who is, was and is to come.)

31.Is, was, and is to come refers to God. The Divine Name appears twice in the verse, and it's letters are bracketed at the beginning and end by the same letter, the letter 1. (Deuteronomy 6:4 and Exodus 20:3 tell us there is only one God.) Is, was, and is to come can be applied to the letters of the Divine Name. The ten Hebrew letters are duplicated below and grouped in threes under an English letter:

31.1

  A B C D The sum of each grouping
    ___ ___ ___ ____
 | | | | | A: 12 E: 16
-1 5-6-5-10 5-6-5-10 1- B: 21 F: 20
   |___|___|___|_____| C: 21 G: 16
     E F G H D: 21 H: 16
                                   __ __
                                   75 + 68 = 143 = 13 x 11

31.2

The Hebrew letters of the Divine Name: 10 5 6 5
   Position of first appearance: 2 7 1 7 = 17
   Position of last appearance: 118 78 112 78 = 386
                                                           ___
                                                    Total: 403 = 31 x 13

31.3This pattern also applies to the words Yhwh Yhwh El. In this case it covers the first five words in the passage.

A B The sum of each grouping
           ______ ______
          | | | A: 311
          254 31 26 26 317 B: 369
              |______| C: 83
                 C ___
                                              763 = 109 x 7

NB Yhwh Yhwh El is unique. Individually, the Divine Name, and El appear many times. The Divine Name appears over 6000 times in the Old Testament, and El appears over 4000 times. They also appear together many times. But the actual three word sequence Yhwh Yhwh El occurs only once in the entire Bible. This is one reason why the proclamation is so very special.

The placement of Yhwh Yhwh El is also special. The first letter is at position 6, while the last letter is in position 15. 6 + 15 is 21 (7 x 3). Pairing the second letter with the second last letter yields the same number, as does each of the subsequent inner pairs (first to last). And of course, the sum of positions 6 through 15 is 105 (7 x 5 x 3). Shift these 12 letters to the right or left by a single position, and the entire pattern would be ruined. One would have to shift these three words by 13 letters before this pattern reappears.

32.1The first letter of the verse is 6. 10 is the letter to come after it, and 40 was the letter before it. 6 + 10 + 40 = 56. 56 = 7 x 2 x 2 x 2. (The sum of the factors is 13, a factor of the Divine Name.)

32.2The last letter of the verse is 40. 6 is the letter to come after it. 10 was the letter before. 40 + 6 + 10 = 56. Here we have the same sum, the same factors, and the same sum of the factors pointing again to the Divine Name.

32.3Does this apply to the first and last letters of each word? Not in the same way. The first and last letters of the verse stand on their own because they are unique: first (or last) in the verse and first (or last) in a word. The letters in the rest of the passage are only first or last with respect to their individual words. They stand together, but not alone.

32.3.1If we take the first letter of each word as is, then the last letter of the previous word, was the letter that came before, and the second letter of each word is the letter to come. The sums of the first/second/last letters of each word has been calculated previously: 1330 (see feature 7.2), 1722 (see feature 7.3),and 1743 (see feature 2.3). Since all three are individually divisible by 7, their sums together is also divisible by 7: 4795 = 7 x 5 x 137. This perfectly matches the phrase is, was and is to come.

In feature 2.3, we wondered why the second letters of each word added up to a sum divisible by 7. The explanation was that every instant could be considered a new beginning. And since the shortest word in the proclamation had only two letters, the pattern could not be extended to the third letter of each word. Here we see a second reason. The second letter of each word is part of is, was, and is to come.

32.3.2 The phrase is, was, is to come deals with sequence. Even though the values of the letters do not deal with sequence, they produce the preceding feature. What about their positions?

Positions of the first letters of each word:
 1 6 10 14 16 20 25 28 32 35 38 42 45 48 54 57 60 64 69 73 75 79 82 85
 89 91 95 98 101 105 107 112 115 = 1971

Positions of the last letters of each word:
 5 9 13 15 19 24 27 31 34 37 41 44 47 53 56 59 63 68 72 74 78 81 84 88
 90 94 97 100 104 106 111 114 119 = 2057

Second letter of each word:
2 7 11 15 17 21 26 29 33 36 39 43 46 49 55 58 61 65 70 74 76 80 83 86
90 92 96 99 102 106 108 113 116 = 2004

When the positions of the letters of each word (first, second or last) are considered separately like their letter values, there is no sequence and no results are found. But in applying is, was, and is to come as a sequence, we can read from one list to the next. If we consider the first position as the position that is, then the position that was before the first position is position 119. The position that is to come after the first position is position 2. When these triplets for each word are taken all together, the number 13 appears: 1971 + 2004 + 2057 = 6032 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 13 x 29.

These six factors point to other letters when they are used with is, was, and is to come.

factor preceding position
as position position to come
   2 1 3
   2 1 3

   13 12 14
   29 28 30

Letters in these positions:

 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 12 13 14 28 29 30
 6 10 100 6 10 100 6 10 100 6 10 100 6 5 1 1 80 10

Total of the letters found: 567 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 7.

Now the factors of 567 can be used to go deeper.

 10 100 200 10 100 200 10 100 200 10 100 200 10 5 6

Total of the letters found: 1261 = 13 x 97.

The sequence ends here at the third level.

32.3.3 Since the sum of the passage is divisible by 7, and the sum of all the first, second and last letters of each word is also divisible by 7, this means all the remaining letters are also divisible by 7. 6174 - 4795 = 1379 (7 x 197). This is automatic from the rules of math. But there is something even more spectacular.

There are 24 letters that are neither first, second or last, and they are in positions: 3 4 8 12 18 22 23 30 40 50 51 52 62 66 67 71 77 87 93 103 109 110 117 118. Note how the number 24 factors into 2 x 2 x 2 x 3. This is the structure of Revelation 1:8, Alpha & Omega, Beginning & End, First & Last, and is, was, is to come. The sum of their positions is: 1393 = 7 x 199.

32.3.4 Exodus 34:6-7 has 119 letters. Mathematically, this means the sum total of all the positions is also divisible by 7: 7140. In the preceding feature, the sum of all the positions of letters that were not first, second or last in a word was 1393. Thus the total of all the positions of letters that are first, second or last would be: 7140 - 1393 = 5747 = 7 x 821.

32.3.5 Feature 32.3.2 above gave the total of positions of letters that were first, second or last in each word as 6032. Feature 32.3.4 gave the total for all these positions as 5747. The difference is in four positions that were used twice in feature 32.3.2, but only once in feature 32.3.4. These four positions belong to words consisting only of two letters. In these words, the last letter also doubled as the second letter. These four unique positions are: 15, 74, 90 and 106. The sum of these four positions is 285. Thus: 6032 - 285 = 5747 (removing the duplication) or 5747 + 285 = 6032 (including the doubles).

These four positions have the letters: 30, 1, 30 and 30, which amazingly total 91 (7 x 13). It is interesting how these four positions and letter values produce a sum divisible by 13 in 32.3.2 and a sum divisible by 7 in feature 32.3.4, while their letters combine to produce both.

See feature 33.1.1 below for a similar feature utilizing the words.

32.4What about the letters that are neither first nor last in each word? If these letters are added to the letters before and after them, would this all add up to something divisible by 7?

All letters that are neither first, nor last.

                                   Total: 8461 (a prime number)

Unlike the very first (or last) letter of the verse, and unlike the first (or last) letter of a word, these letters are within each word, neither first nor last anywhere. And just as the feature for the first/last letter of the passage differed from the first/last letter of each word, so these letters are also different. It would be unreasonable to expect the numeric feature to be exactly the same.

At first, there would appear to be no feature here. The total cannot even be factored. However as noted, four words show no data in this list because they only consist of 2 letters. If these four words were included, and letters borrowed from their neighbours, the result is different.

The four words with their first and last letters, and the letters before and after each:

A total of 27 out of 119 of the triples are divisible by 7. Two are divisible by 49 (7 x 7). According to the odds, a random listing of 119 sums would normally only have 17 divisible by 7. The basic structure of the Exodus verse exceeds the odds.

This is a list of the letters and positions in the middle of the above triplets:

Position: 1 4 7 9 11 15 16 29 31 34 35 37 40 41 48 56 57 58 64
Letter: 6 200 5 5 5 30 200 80 40 2 8 4 40 400 30 1 70 6 6

Position: 83 88 94 105 108 110 111 119
Letter: 6 400 40 70 30 10 40 40

Sum of the positions: 1411 = 17 x 83 SF:100
Sum of the letters: 1774 = 887 x 2 SF:889 = 127 x 7

Again at first there doesn't seem to be any feature here. This changes when the positions are added to the letters.

Positions + letters: 3185 = 5 x 7 x 7 x 13

There are two factors of 7 to make up for the positions and letters individually not producing any features, and there is an added factor of 13.

32.6If each line in the list (feature 32.5 above) were numbered, it would be possible to count through the list, applying the letters of the Divine Name (10-5-6-5). Taking the 10th, 15th, 21st and 26th lines (*): 210 35 476 56, the sum is 777.

32.7These lines from feature 32.5 are divisible by 13.

19: 6 40 6 = 52 = 2 x 2 x 13
26: 1 200 20 = 221 = 13 x 17
27: 200 20 1 = 221 = 13 x 17
29: 1 80 10 = 91 = 7 x 13
30: 80 10 40 = 130 = 2 x 5 x 13
33: 6 200 2 = 208 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 13
52: 80 10 40 = 130 = 2 x 5 x 13
54: 40 50 300 = 390 = 2 x 3 x 5 x 13
55: 50 300 1 = 351 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 13
70: 6 50 100 = 156 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 13

And from the list above, pull out the middle position and letter of each triplet,

Positions: 19 26 27 29 30 33 52 54 55 70 = 395 = 5 x 79
Letters: 40 200 20 80 10 200 10 50 300 50 = 960 = 2^6 x 3 x 5
Line Sum : 52 221 221 91 130 208 130 390 351 156 = 1950 = 2 x 3 x 5 x 5 x 13

What is divisible by 13 is not necessarily the same as what is divisible by 7. The number 7 is refers to God’s perfection. The number 13 is associated with the Divine Name itself, and the Divine Name belongs to the one God who is, was and is to come. Rather than adding the positions and their corresponding letters (as in feature 32.5), add the positions and the letters before and after (i.e. the line sum): 395 + 1950 = 2345 (5 x 7 x 67).

32.8God is, was, and is to come (Revelation 1:8), spanning time itself. We divide the letters of the proclamation into groups of three. Within each group is a miniature time-line, a letter before, a letter in the middle, and a letter after. To show God crossing the time-lines, add up the middle letter of each group.

(The proclamation has 119 letters. Dividing it into groups of three leaves an incomplete group at the end consisting of two letters. This group is treated like the others, except it has no final or last letter like the others.)

Middle letters of each group: 10 1 6 5 1 8 6 6 200 80 6 8 6 400 200 4 30 40 1 50 300 8 5 100 1 100 100 6 2 70 50 6 2 2 40 300 10 70 2 40. All the letters representing the present is, add up to 2282 (2 x 7 x 163).

All the first letters of each group, representing what was before: 6 200 5 10 5 200 40 50 1 1 40 2 4 40 90 60 1 10 300 6 80 6 1 50 30 50 80 70 1 400 2 40 30 10 10 30 300 6 200 10 add up to 2477. This is not divisible by 7 or 13. Note that Revelation 1:8 reads is, was, and is to come, not was, is, and is to come. The present is more important than what was. That there was no numeric feature was disappointing, but this it not the full story.

All the last letters of each group, representing what is to come: 100 10 5 6 30 6 8 50 20 10 200 60 1 50 8 30 80 50 70 6 70 9 6 5 10 5 4 50 6 30 10 70 50 50 70 30 40 30 70. The total is 1415.

Revelation 1:8 describes God in three different ways, each one a pair: Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, first and last. Now we notice that the first and last stand together as a pair: 2477 + 1415 = 3892 (2 x 2 x 7 x 139).

All these features dealt with the proclamation's letters. Does this hold for the words? Only in part. As words are different from letters, so the features are similar, but not entirely the same.

33.1.1The first word of the verse is 317. 26 is the word to come after it. What was the word before it? If the Exodus verse was written out in a circle then the word before the first word would be the last word 322.

Thus: 317 + 26 + 322 = 665 = 7 x 5 x 19. The sum of the factors is 31, the sum of the Hebrew word for God.

(NB On a side note, there are only two words in the passage with a sum of 31: God, and not. In God, we have the amen and every yes [2 Corinthians 1:20], and on the other hand without God, there is simple negation and nothing. This pairing forms a different type of first and last.

These two words occupy the 4th and 20th word positions. 4 + 20 = 24 = 3 x 2 x 2 x 2. The lone 3 represents the one God who is, was and is to come, while the three 2s represents the Alpha and Omega, the first and last, and the beginning and end.

The sum of the factors: 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 9, which of course is 3 x 3 [a doubling of is, was, and is to come].)

33.1.2These three words occupy letter positions 1 through 9, and 115 through 119. The sum of these letter positions is: 630 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 7.

33.2.1Since the first word, along with the words before and after it produced a feature, surely the last word would too.

The last word (is): 322
The word after (to come): 317
The word before (was): 106

                Total: 745 (149 x 5).

This is not divisible by 7, and its sum does not point to the Divine Name. However (the factors): 149 + 5 = 154 = 11 x 7 x 2.

33.2.2These three words occupy letter positions: 112 through 119, and 1 through 5. The sum of these letter positions is: 939 = 313 x 3.

It would have been even more spectacular had the last word of the verse been accompanied with features mirroring the first word. (Perhaps the grammar and vocabulary made it mathematically impossible.)

There is another perspective to these three words related to is, was, and is to come. The first word (and he proclaimed) contains the past tense. The second word (Yhwh) points to the great I AM, which is the present tense. The last word of the passage (literally fourth ones) refers to the future.

The past is close to us and can be investigated. We live in the present. The future, however we try to anticipate it, remains unknown. This is why the first two words are close to each other, while the last word is at the end of the passage. The first word quickly produced a feature, but the last word required going deeper. Thus the placement, meaning, and numbers Numerics Gematria all parallel each other.

33.3The 17th word is in the centre of the passage with a sum of 456. The word before it (the 16th) has a sum of 126. The word after it (the 18th) is 29. The total: 611 = 47 x 13.

33.4.1Is, was, and is to come applied to the words.

33: 106 322 317 = 745 = 5 x 149

A total of 6 out of 33 triples are divisible by 7. One of them is divisible by 49. This is just slightly above the expected odds, and not as much as the letters but still more than expected. If the 49 is considered, then the results are 7 out of 33.

33.4.2Add up lines 10, 5, 6, 5 (values from the Divine Name): 727 405 595 405 = 2132 (2 x 2 x 13 x 41).

33.4.3Add up every 7th line: 472 614 380 270 = 1736 (2 x 2 x 2 x 7 x 31).

34.The preceding features combined two principles in Revelation 1:8: is, was, and is to come with beginning and end, along with the letters and words. This can also be applied another way.

34.1The last letter of the first word is the 5th letter of the passage. Count forwards 5 words, and count backwards 5 words: 120, 102. The sum of the three words is 539 (7 x 7 x 11).

34.2Does this apply for every word in the passage? Not quite, but it produces numeric features that exceed the odds.

Take the position of the first letter of each word and count forwards and backwards by that many words. (e.g. The first letter of the first word in the passage sits in position 1. Count 1 word position forward and one word position backwards to obtain word positions 2, and 34. Total the three words.)

34.2.1Using the position of the first letter of each word to count forwards and backwards.

Out of 33 triplets, eight are divisible by 7. In total there were eleven factors of 7. Random chance would say only 4 or 5 out of the 33 sums would be divisible by 7. This does not exceed the odds by much, but surely every case can't always be slightly greater than the odds and still be random chance!

34.2.2.1Apply the Divine Name directly to the list above, taking the 10th, 5th, 6th, and 5th lines: 543 603 383 603 = 2132 (2 x 2 x 13 x 41).

34.2.2.2Use the Divine Name to count through the list above, taking the 10th, 15th, 21st, and 26th lines: 543 483 605 448 = 2079 (3 x 3 x 3 x 7 x 11 SF: 27 = 3 x 3 x 3 SF: 9 = 3 x 3).

34.2.3.1Now try this again, but with the last letter of each word. The position of the last letter is used to count forwards and backwards to find a word to come, and a word that was.

33 20 13
322 31 72 = 425 = 5 x 5 x 17

Only 3 sums are divisible by 7 with four factors of 7. This is below what might be expected for the odds, but the two sections together still exceed the odds.

34.2.3.2Unlike the previous try, applying the Divine Name directly produces no results. However, using the Divine Name to count through the list produces factors of 7 and 13. Taking the 10th, 15th, 21st, and 26th lines: 383 705 695 947 = 2730 (2 x 3 x 5 x 7 x 13 SF: 30 = 2 x 3 x 5 SF: 10 = 2 x 5 SF: 7). The chain of factors ends at 7.

What happens if we go further? Do the number of sums divisible by 7 continue to drop? Do they eventually end up just being the statistical odds? There are probably too many ways of searching through Exodus 34:6-7 for any person. It would take more than a lifetime. Nevertheless, in an attempt to answer skeptics, the technique above can be re-arranged two more times, and the results still exceed the odds.

34.2.4In this case, the position of the first letter of each word is used to count forwards through the word positions, while the position of the last letter is subtracted to count backwards through the word positions.

Nine sums out of 33 are divisible by 7. This is above the odds.

Using the combined rules of beginning and end, and is, was, and is to come, we have produced four different cases based on similar principles. Only one case falls below the odds.

Skeptics can always say the preceding results don't surpass the odds by much. How much more must there be?

Let's pursue this for the sake of argument.

34.2.6Multiplying the position and value of the first letter of each word, we can find other words before and after. The position multiplied by its value is added or subtracted from the current word position.

a) Current word position. e) Position of word before.
b) Current word sum. f) Sum of word e).

A total of 7 out of 33 sums are divisible by 7. This is slightly above the odds.

34.2.7Now we do the same with the last letter of each word. Its position and value are multiplied and the result is added or subtracted from the current word position.

a) Current word position. e) Position of word before.

Six out of 33 sums are divisible by 7. Again this is just barely above the odds.

34.2.8The value and position of the first letter of each word are now used with division. Where the position is greater than the value, the position is divided by value. Where the value is greater than the position, the value is divided by the position. (Any remainder is discarded. Only whole numbers are kept.) The result is used to add and subtract from the current word position to find new words.

34.2.10This sub-feature combines the two preceding ones. The value and position of the first letter of each word are divided, and the result is used to find a word to come. The value and position of the last letter of each word are divided and used to find a word that came before.

Only 3 out of 33 sums are divisible by 7. This is slightly below the expected odds.

Does this support the claim of skeptics that we eventually return to the odds?

A cursory overview of these features seems to confirm this, but a second look reveals a reason why this is so. Addition, subtraction and multiplication all produced features equal or slightly better than the odds. (Only one case did not.) Division is the only operation where this did not happen. Is there a reason for this? Since the Exodus verse can't be split in decimals or fractions, the remainder from division has to be discarded. Can we really apply the results of division to the proclamation when something is left out? The few numeric features found seem to answer No. When the results from division are discarded, the remaining results are definitely above the odds.

Is, was, and is to come ties so deeply with the proclamation’s structure, it is marvellous.

Miscellaneous Features

This section closes with related features from the first three instructions of Revelation 1:8.

Alpha and Omega

We look at the proclamation alphabetically as instructed by Revelation 1:8.

Alphabetically, the first (Alpha) word in the proclamation would be the 24th word.

Word Position: 24
Word Sum: 409
Letter Position: 85 86 87 88
Letter Value: 1 - 2 - 6 - 400

And the last word alphabetically would be the 31st word.

Word Position: 31
Word Sum: 680
Letter Position: 107 108 109 110 111
Letter Value: 300 - 30 - 300 - 10 - 40

35.1.1The sum of the word positions: 24 + 31 = 55 (11 x 5). The number 11 illustrates the one God who is Alpha and Omega, or the Alpha who is one, and the Omega who also is the same one.

35.1.2The sum of the two words: 409 + 680 = 1089 (11 x 11 x 3 x 3 SF:28 = 7 x 2 SF:11).

35.1.3The sum of the letter positions: 85 + 86 + 87 + 88 + 107 + 108 + 109 + 110 + 111 = 891. 891 (11 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 SF:25 = 5 x 5 SF:10 = 5 x 2 SF:7).

35.1.4Alphabetically, the first letter of word 24 is 1, while the first letter of word 31 is 10. 1 + 10 = 11.

35.1.5Alphabetically, the last letter of word 24 is 400, while the last letter of word 31 is 300. 400 + 300 = 700 (7 x 5 x 5 x 2 x 2 SF:21 = 7 x 3 SF:10 = 5 x 2 SF:7).

35.1.6Alphabetically first and last, the four letters together (1, 400, 10, 300) add up to 711. 711 = 79 x 3 x 3. SF:85 = 17 x 5 SF:22 = 11 x 2 SF:13.

In each case, factors relating to God (11, 13 or 7) appear.

35.3First and Last

As stated before, first and last refer to magnitude. We look for the word with the highest numerical value, and the word with the lowest numerical value.

2 (or 3) 31
26 680
6 7 8 9 107 108 109 110 111
10 - 5 - 6 - 5 300 - 30 - 300 - 10 - 40

35.3.1The sum of the word positions: 2 + 31 = 33 (11 x 3 SF:14 = 7 x 2).

35.3.2The highest and lowest letters in the first word are 10 and 5. The highest and lowest in the 31st word are 300 and 10. The sum of these four letters is 325 (13 x 5 x 5).

Feature 35.1 produced a result of 11 four times out of six. Once it produced a number divisible by 7, and only one time did it fail. In two tries, feature 35.2 produced one factor of 13. A deeper search was required to find a factor of 7. Finally, in 35.3, with two tries, this technique produced a 13 and an 11. The results are not as spectacular as previous features. This is because only one or two words are being selected each time, and the focus is further narrowed by a few letters. The rest of the proclamation is ignored.

Combining The Beginning & End With First & Last

36.1. The principles from the beginning and the end, and the first and the last can be combined. Feature 7 lists the beginning and end letters of each word. Separate each pair by magnitude (first and last) into high and low.

Highest valued letter of each pair from each word.
a) Letter position b) Letter value

a) 1 6 10 15 16 24 27 31 32 35 41 44 45 53 54 57 63 64 69
b) 6 10 10 30 200 50 20 40 6 8 400 200 8 40 50 70 70 6 6

a) 73 75 79 82 88 89 94 97 100 104 105 107 114 115
b) 30 10 80 70 400 70 40 30 10 40 70 300 30 200

The sum of the positions: 2009 (7 x 7 x 41 SF:55, a symmetrical number).

The sum of the letters: 2610 (2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 29) at first yield nothing, but the sum of the factors is 42 = 2 x 3 x 7.

Lowest valued letter of each pair from each word.
a) 5 9 13 14 19 20 25 28 34 37 38 42 47 48 56 59 60 68 72 74
b) 1 5 5 1 40 6 1 1 2 4 6 50 4 30 1 50 6 5 5 1

a) 78 81 84 85 90 91 95 98 101 106 111 112 119
b) 5 4 50 1 30 2 6 2 2 30 40 6 40

This time it is the sum of the positions: 2019 which seems to yield no features. However, it factors (3 x 673), and when the factors are added together, the sum is 676 (2 x 2 x 13 x 13).

The sum of the letters: 442 (2 x 13 x 17).

First and last (high and low) are opposites. They can also be considered reversals, and this reversal appears in the results in perfect symmetry. The charts summarize the results.

                 High letter Low letter

position 2009 (7 x 7 x 41) 2019 (3 x 673 nf)

value 2610 (2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 29 nf) 442 (2 x 13 x 17)

The sum of the factors produce features for the two that failed in reverse.

          High letter Low letter

position 7 + 7 + 41 = 45 (nf) 3 + 673 = 676 (2 x 2 x 13 x 13)

value 2 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 29 = 39 (3 x 13) 2 + 13 + 17 = 32 (nf)

First and last (high and low) are opposites. They can also be considered reversals, and this reversal appears in the results. The high letter positions were divisible by 7. The low letter positions were not even divisible by 13. The reverse was true for the letter values. The high letter values were not divisible by 7 or 13, while the low letter values were divisible by 13. (N.B. First and last need not be associated with high and low. It could have been low and high.)

36.2Here is a second way of combining beginning and end with first and last. Go through the proclamation word by word, and check the first letter of each word. Record the first letter if it is the highest in value within that word. This letter would be alphabetically (Alpha) last in the word, but at the beginning of the word.

10 10 200 70 30 70 70 70 300 200

Total: 1030.

Go through the verse again, this time checking the last letter of each word. Take the last letter if it is the lowest in value within that word. This letter is alphabetically first within the word, but at the end of the word.

1 5 5 2 4 4 1 5 1 5 4 30 30

Total: 97.

The two totals together (combining beginning and end and first and last): 1127 (7 x 7 x 23).

Combining I am With Alpha & Omega

37. In feature 2.1, I AM, there is a list of all the letters in odd positions. These letters can be filtered by the principle Alpha & Omega. From the list of odd positioned letters, select only Aleph (1), and Tav (400), the Hebrew equivalents of Alpha and Omega. Then repeat with a list of even positioned letters.

Aleph and Tav in odd positions:
5 25 39 41 49 67 85 = 311
1 1 1 400 1 1 1 = 406 = 2 x 7 x 29

Aleph and Tav in even positions:
14 28 56 74 88 = 260 = 2 x 2 x 5 x 13
1 1 1 1 400 = 404 = 2 x 2 x 101

Three of the four results point to God. There is a factor of 7, a factor of 13, and a symmetrical number.

The Pattern In Revelation 1:8

38.1The most obvious number set in Revelation 1:8 is 2, 2, 2, and 3, from the paired attributes, and the final triple attribute in the last part of the verse. This pattern can be applied to the declaration.

38.1.1Coincidentally, the second and third words of the passage are the Divine Name. In essence, the pattern 2, 2, 2 and 3 points to the Divine Name four times.

2 2 2 3
26 26 26 26

The total is naturally divisible by 13: 104 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 13.

38.1.2The pattern can be used to count through the words:

Applied To Words
Pattern:	2 2 2 3
Count: 2 4 6 9
Found: 26 26 120 208

The sum is 385 = 5 x 7 x 11.

38.1.3Interestingly, the same pattern applied directly to the letters also produces a sum divisible by 13.

Applied To Letters
2 2 2 3
10 10 10 100

Total of letters found: 130 = 2 x 5 x 13.

38.2 A less obvious pattern from Revelation 1:8 is the number set 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, and 1. This includes I am, and the Almighty. Unlike the obvious number pattern in 38.1, a little more work is necessary with this less apparent pattern.

38.2.1 Use the above pattern (1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 1) to count through the words one time.

a) Pattern b) Count c) Words found

a) 1 2 2 2 3 1
b) 1 3 5 7 10 11
c) 317 26 254 221 72 447

The sum is 1337 (191 x 7).

38.2.2The pattern also work fits perfectly with the entire passage. When the pattern is used 3 times, it encompasses the entire passage.

a) Pattern b) count c) word found

a) 1 2 2 2 3 1 1 2 2 2 3 1 1 2 2 2 3 1
b) 1 3 5 7 10 11 12 14 16 18 21 22 23 25 27 29 32 33
c) 317 26 254 221 72 447 340 191 126 29 165 184 126 100 106 102 106 322

Total of words found: 3234 (2 x 3 x 7 x 7 x 11).

38.2.3.1The pattern does not fit perfectly with the 119 letters. Applying it 10 times to count through the letters leaves out 9 letters. Applying it eleven times would overshoot the passage and leave out even more letters. Since 10 times would keep more letters, and since 10 is the first letter of the Divine Name, the pattern is applied only ten times.

a) Pattern b) Count c) Letter found

Total of letters found: 3380 (2 x 2 x 5 x 13 x 13 SF: 35 = 5 x 7 SF 12 = 2 x 2 x 3 SF:7).

38.2.4The pattern from Revelation 1:8 has now been applied five times to the words, and twice to the letters. It had to be adjusted for the letters. Does this adjustment apply to the words? What happens if the pattern is run 10 times through the words?

(There is the natural suspicion that the pattern is simply counting the same words over and over, but this is not the case. The results from features 38.2.1, 38.2.2, and 38.2.4 all break down into different prime numbers. The only common factor is 7. If the same words were being counted over and over, features 38.2.1, 38.2.2 and 38.2.4 would result in sums that were multiples of each other. The different prime numbers prove each feature is counting different words.)

38.2.5 In the preceding feature, we attempted to apply what was used for the letters back into the words. Notice how the pattern could easily have been run just 9 times, and it would again produce a result divisible by 7 since it fit perfectly in feature 38.2.1. (The pattern applied 9 times produces a total of 9702. In this case, the result is simply a multiple of feature 38.2.2. The count has gone around the passage three times. 9702 factors: 2 x 3 x 3 x 7 x 7 x 11. The sum of its factors is 33, which is the number of words in the passage). Now apply this 9 times back to the letters.

Pattern used to count through the letters 9 times.

The table below recaps Revelation 1:8's more basic methods for finding features. Not one failed. This cannot be by chance. What other piece of literature has instructions for finding numeric features within itself? At present, the author can think of none.

So many numeric features in Exodus 34:6-7 are tied directly to the meaning of Revelation 1:8 there can be no doubt the two declarations go together. When the instructions in Revelation 1:8 are carefully followed, sums divisible by 7 are found without fail.1 The hypothesis has proven to be true. When God describes Himself, some aspects of His attributes appear in His words. This is proof God exists. The care God took to speak in such a way means He can also be trusted. Because He exists and His words are in the Old and New Testaments, this means these two books are true and also go together. We can trust that the Bible is based on the original inspired message.

Even the literary structure of Revelation 1:8 has a bearing on Exodus 34:6-7. (See the next section.)

Jesus said those who believed in him would do miracles (Mark 16:17). They would do greater works than he did (John 14:12). Where are the Church's miracles today? The numbers are a poor substitute. They encourage us get back to the message God gave us. Don't just stay with the numbers.

Notes

  1. The basic techniques from Revelation 1:8 and 22:13 all produce features. They are very consistent. The methods derived from those techniques, or that use the results of those techniques to find other features are not as consistent. This is because they are moving away from the basic principles stated in those two verses.
