Part 6: A Message To Jewish People

In meaning and numbers Numerics Gematria Exodus 34:6-7 and Revelation 1:8 run parallel with each other. This was designed by God. It is not coincidence. This proves the book of Revelation is to be read with the Old Testament.

And by inference:

The very history of the Jewish people points in this direction. From a nation with the priesthood, tabernacle, ark and temple with the glory of God, they became a nation with a temple but no glory, and finally a modern nation with no temple. This deterioration, and the silence from God for 2000 years shows something drastic is missing.

It was never a matter of being a descendant of Abraham, or of Jacob. Holding the laws of Moses was never the key. The Old and New Testaments confirm each other.

And Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22)1
For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. But this command I gave them, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you. (Jeremiah 7:22-23)

Jesus said,

Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)

The numbers Numerics Gematria show God began speaking again several centuries after the close of the Old Testament prophets. Missing this brought a further 2000 years of silence.

There is silence from the Hebrew prophets. But God is still speaking, only in another language, the language of the New Testament (Isaiah 28:11). Even though most Jewish people do not accept the New Testament, there have been efforts to make the New Testament accessible to Jewish people by translating it into Hebrew. The following will hopefully show Jewish people God is still speaking to them, and confirm the previous statements.

Below are two versions of Revelation 1:8 in Hebrew.

Version A:

There are 14 (2 x 7) words and 55 (5 x 11) letters. Although the number of letters is not divisible by seven or thirteen, the factor of 11 is a number visually showing the same one God who is the beginning and end.

The numeric total of the verse: 2128 = 24 x 7 x 19.

The values of the letters of God’s name in Hebrew (יהוה ;10-5-6-5) can count through Revelation 1:8's words seven times.

Total (line d): 4256 = 25 x 7 x 19.

Position total of the odd valued words: 56 = 23 x 7. SF: 13.

Position total of the even valued words: 49 = 72 SF: 14 = 2 x 7.

Three words were divisible by 13. Their positions add up to the value of God’s name in Hebrew.

Word position: 7  8  11  = 26 = 2 x 13.

The sum of the words is also divisible by eleven, once again showing the one God who is Alpha and Omega.

First letter of each word: 392 = 23 x 72. There is no corresponding feature with the last letter of each word. In the GNS, the positions of the first and last letters of each word were divisible by 13, and in the GNT only the positions of the first letter of each word had a feature (being divisible by 49 and 13). Thus the Hebrew compares quite favourably.

Similar to the words, God’s name in Hebrew can count through the letters three times.

There are 13 words, and 52 (22 x 13) letters.

Total of the place values: 429 = 3 x 11 x 13.

Numeric total: 2067 = 3 x 13 x 53.

First and last words: 560 = 24 x 5 x 7.

Since there are only thirteen words in this version of Revelation 1:8, and God’s name in Hebrew has a value of twenty-six (2 x 13), using the divine name to count through the words means the same words will be selected each time. Using the name seven times will result in a total divisible by seven. Using the name to count thirteen times will result in a total divisible by thirteen.

Only one pair of words, Nth and Nth last can be found that together are divisible by seven. Appropriately these are the first and last words:

The total of the words is 560. The sum of the positions: 14 = 2 x 7. These two words are also the only words with values that are prime numbers.

Only one pair of words, Nth and Nth last can be found that together are divisible by 13.

Word position: 3   11
Word value:    417 25

The total of the words is 442. The sum of positions is once again: 14 = 2 x 7.

In both these cases there is only one because there is only one God.

Eleven words had sums that are not prime numbers:

The sum of the positions of these words: 77 = 7 x 11.
The sum of the word values: 1507 = 11 x 137. (Notice how the number 11, demonstrating the one God beginning and end or Alpha and Omega, keeps appearing.)

The middle word is God’s name in Hebrew.

The last letter of each word:

The sum of the letters has no numeric feature, but their positions do: 343 = 73 SF: 21 = 3 x 7. (Three factors of seven are meant to stand in for the letter values not having a feature.)

The first half of the passage's letters:

Divide the passage's letters into groups of two. Separate the groups into two lists, all those that are odd valued and all those that are even valued.

When added up, the middle 10, 14, and 46 letters all yield totals divisible by 13. Note that 10 + 14 + 46 = 70 (2 x 5 x 7. SF: 14 = 2 x 7).

Can two translations of the same verse to Hebrew have similar numeric features following Revelation 1:8's principle of complementary opposites still be considered coincidence? Coincidences that keep following a pattern can no longer be considered coincidence. God is letting Jewish people know He is still speaking, and that He speaks through the New Testament. In this day and age, God speaks many languages.

What About The Trinity?

The Trinity is a man spawned concept, something taught as doctrine, but which has no basis in the Bible. Isaiah said as much, and Jesus confirmed the prophet's words (Isaiah 29:13-14; Matthew 15:8-9). There is also no foundation for such a theory in the numbers.

The Koine Greek of John 1:1, and other passages like it have been translated into many languages according to interpretations based the Trinity, not on the original text. When the original language is honestly examined, one sees there is no Trinity. John 1:1 clearly states Jesus is not God.

There are two things to note.

1) The definite articles in the text are ο, and τον. ο accompanies λογος (word) in every case, specifying The Word. τον appears only with the first occurrence of θεον specifying The God. The second occurrence of θεον has no definite article. When the writers of the New Testament are compared with other Greek writers of their time it becomes clear they made extensive use of definite articles to drive home a point. If the second occurrence of θεον did not have an accompanying definite article, then it can only mean a god and not The God.

2) Most Bibles have προς translated as with, but a search in the New Testament to see how this word is used shows it also has the meaning towards, and this is the majority usage. With was chosen as the meaning because of the theory of the Trinity to bring the word closer to God.

This makes it clear, The Word is not God.

The numbers actually confirm this.

The total is 2369 (23 x 103). Twenty-three is the number of a human being since the average person has twenty-three pairs of chromosomes. The first chapter of John, verse 14, tells us The Word became flesh (i.e. became a man).

The sum of the factors (23 + 103) is 126, and this factors into 2 x 32 x 7. This is God’s hand behind The Word becoming flesh.

There are very curious coincidences when John 1:1 is translated into Hebrew. Below are two translations. First note the inaccuracies of the translation.

The Greek word θεον (god) is singular, but in both cases whoever translated insisted on using the plural Hebrew וֵאלוקים (Elohim).

Both versions interpret the Greek word προς as with.

Neither inaccurate version has any numeric feature to note.

Suppose the translation was more faithful to the Greek? Unfortunately, I do not know the Hebrew language. What follows is my clumsy attempt at patching from the two versions above with what little I do know of the language. The results are very curious.

Substituting אל (God) for אלוקים (gods) is the first easy patch. The definite article ה is added to the first occurrence of אל to form האל (the God), and distinguish it from the second occurrence. To translate the Greek word προς I considered two choices: ל (preposition meaning to) and פנה (turning to or turning towards). This produced the following two phrases.

Version A

The numeric total of Version A is 1715 = 5 x 7 x 7 x 7. There are three factors of seven, a one in 343 chance! And the sum of the factors equals the numeric value of God’s name in Hebrew.

Various groups of letters from the middle can be found together that are divisible by thirteen. This is true for the middle 5 letters, the middle 17, and the middle 27 letters. Why these groups of letters? 5 + 17 + 27 = 49 (7 x 7).

Version B

The numeric total of Version B is 1820 (22 x 5 x 7 x 13). The factor related to the Hebrew divine name now appears immediately. Faithfulness to the original meaning of the Greek produces an immediate effect. The interpretations attempting to support the Trinity produced nothing. A translation showing the difference between the God and a god has even more than just the total.

Total of the place values: 308 = 22 x 7 x 11.

The first and last letters of each word: 1204 = 22 x 7 x 43. (Unlike Exodus 34;6-7, which is about God, the first and last letters in this verse have to stand together. Individually they are not divisible by seven. This is because The Word is not God.)

The letters can be categorized in four ways by whether they are odd/even positioned and odd/even valued. (Why four ways? Perhaps because there are four living creatures around God’s throne in Revelation 4:6-8.)

Odd valued letters in odd positions: 42 = 2 x 3 x 7.
Odd valued letters in even positions: 502.
Even valued letters in even positions: 1260 = 22 x 32 x 5 x 7.
Even valued letters in odd positions: 16.

Two of the four have no feature, but since two of them are divisible by seven this shows they can be further categorized.

All odd and all even: 42 + 1260 = 1302 = 2 x 3 x 7 x 31.
Mixture: 502 + 16 = 518 = 2 x 7 x 37.

Three of the words are prime numbers. The feature is in their positions.

Word position: 3   8  10   = 21 = 3 x 7.
Word value:  211 37 211 = 459 = 33 x 17. SF: 26 = 2 x 13.

The total of these three words have no feature until one examines the next level in the sum of the factors.

The values of the letters in the divine name can count through the passage 13 times.

Total of line (d): 1946 = 2 x 7 x 139.

The eleventh to fifteenth letters form a group divisible by seven (4, 2, 200, 6, 5). A similar group can be found by selecting the eleventh to fifteenth letters from the end of the passage (50, 5, 5, 1, 30). The two groups together total 308 (2 x 2 x 7 x 11). Not only are they divisible by seven when taken together, but they are individually divisible by seven as well. The first group's total is 217 (7 x 31). The group from the other end totals 91 (7 x 13). Is this a fluke? It might be until one considers the start (11) and end (15) positions as counted from the beginning or end of the passage. The two numbers add up to 26, the sum of God’s name in Hebrew. (Note also that adding the positions from 11 to 15 produces a total of 65, which is also divisible by 13.)

Position total of odd valued letters: 286 = 2 x 11 x 13. SF: 26 = 2 x 13. (There is no equivalent feature for the positions of even valued letters. This is because The Word is not God.)

Fifteen letters are prime numbers:

This means the total of the remaining letters, which are not prime numbers is also divisible by seven: 1757 = 7 x 251. (In this case their positions have no corresponding feature.)

These numeric features show God is still speaking, and that He is speaking in the New Testament. Not only does God speak in Greek. He also speaks in many languages, including Chinese and English.

Jesus is The Word God spoke (Isaiah 45:23). Since this Word does not return, it is eternal. But it does have a beginning. Only God is self-existent. John 1:1-37 describes The Word acting in creation, and coming into the world to save it. The purpose is the eternal gospel which aligns with Isaiah 45:23 with all acknowledging the supremacy of God:

Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come; and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of water. (Revelation 14:7)

Numbers Numerics Gematria and Jewish history are not the only two pointing in this direction. There is also the historical proof of Jesus as the prophesied messiah. The book Miracle In History, by Raymond Chin uses a literal Bible chronology from the Masorete Text to show how God mathematically predicted Jesus' coming, and even foretold the return of modern Israel.
