Dedication Of Solomon's Temple

Solomon's temple was one of the high points of Israel's history. It also marked the peak of the nation's prosperity, power and wealth. The temple was the culmination of David's dream. It took years of planning and preparation. Numbers Numerics Gematria mark the passage of Solomon's temple dedication with God’s approval.

And all the men of Israel assembled to King Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month. And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark. And they brought up the ark of the lord, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up. And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered. Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the lord to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the most holy place, underneath the wings of the cherubim. For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering above the ark and its poles. And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside; and they are there to this day. There was nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, where the lord made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt. (1 Kings 8:2-9) 1

10The temple was 60 cubits long, 20 cubits wide and 30 cubits high (1 Kings 6:2). These construction dimensions can be applied into the dedication passage because they represent the temple.

The dedication passage has 127 words, and 497 letters. Taking every 60th word from 127 words would only pull two words, which is only a fraction of the entire passage. To make it more representative, we could continue pulling every 60th word by wrapping the count around to the beginning. This is done until the number of words is close to the number of letters.

(Curious coincidental note: Counting by 60, 20 or 30 in all the cases above ends with the number 480. It was the 480th year from the Exodus that temple construction began [1 Kings 6:1].)

The numbers Numerics Gematria of these diagrams show the construction of the temple. The skeptic would say this entirely arbitrary. There are many other designs that could have been drawn. They would be correct if this passage did not have the features developed from the principles of Revelation 1:8.

Conclusion

Like Joshua 24:24, where all Israel told Joshua there was only one God for them, and God was the only one they would serve, the dedication of Solomon's temple was another time when the will of the people aligned with God’s will. As a result, the fruit of their work (the temple) reflected God’s glory. And because of this, numeric features similar to those found in Exodus 34:6-7 are also present in the historical record of the temple's dedication.
