Applying The Rules To Revelation 1:8
Revelation 1:8 describes what might be called God’s physical nature. This description provides the basic principles of finding numeric features in the Bible: complementary opposites, and sequence. These principles also apply to Revelation 1:8 itself.
There are two versions of Revelation 1:8 in Greek, one from the GNS, and one from the GNT. The King James Version is based on the GNS, and modern Bibles are based on the one from the GNT.1 (For the conversion of Greek to numbers, see Alpha-Numeric Substitutions.

1.Not only is the total divisible by seven, it is also divisible by thirteen. Total: 5824 = 26 x 7 x 13. This ties in with the Hebrew name for God, which has a value of 26 (2 x 13).
2.1God said He is the Alpha and Omega. The first letter of each word:

2.3Since the positions of the first and last letters individually had totals divisible by thirteen, this means the two together (as Alpha and Omega are together) are also divisible by thirteen: 1534 = 2 x 13 x 59.
2.4As seen above, the first and last letter of each word individually had no feature, but when they are put together, they are divisible by seven: 4025 = 5 x 5 x 7 x 23. (And since the entire passage is divisible by seven, this means all the letters that are not first and last in a word also come to a total divisible by seven: 1799 = 7 x 257.)
3.The words can be classified into two groups by their first letters, odd valued, or even valued.
Odd valued first letter: 1967 = 7 x 281.
Even valued first letter: 5824 = 26 x 7 x 13.
4.The statement, is, was and is to come
has the present tense out of sequence. Odd and even positioned letters are also a complementary sequence.

6.Letters can be odd or even in value, and in odd or even positions. This provides four ways for classifying letters.
a) Odd valued letters in odd positions: 107. b) Odd valued letters in even positions: 3120 = 24 x 3 x 5 x 13. c) Even valued letters in even positions: 2560 = 29 x 5. d) Even valued letters in odd positions: 37.
6.1Only one catgory has any numeric feature. This changes when similar categories are put together. Categories a) and c) could be considered pure
since values and positions are both odd or both even. Categories b) and d) are mixed.
Categories a) & c): 107 + 2560 = 2667 = 3 x 7 x 127.
Categories b) & d): 3120 + 37 = 3157 = 7 x 11 x 41.
6.2The difference between pure
and mixed brings out something else.
3157 − 2667 = 490 = 2 x 5 x 7 x 7. SF: 21 = 3 x 7.
7.Is there another way to link Revelation 1:8 with the God of the Old Testament? God’s name is Hebrew is יהוה. The values of the letters are 10-5-6-5. (N.B. Hebrew is read from right to left. The numbers are presented from left to right.) The four numbers point to four letters in Revelation 1:8.

Total: 49 = 72 SF: 14 = 2 x 7.
7.1The four letters of the name can count through Revelation 1:8's letters three times. This overshoots the length of Revelation 1:8 just slightly. The count is adjusted by wrapping to the beginning.

Total of the letters found in Revelation 1:8: 1001 = 7 x 11 x 13. A thousand and one is a perfect number visually representing the same one God who is at the beginning and end. The zeroes represent our finite creation, which in the span of eternity before and after is actually nothing. The number is divisible by 7 (God’s perfection) and 13 (God’s name).
8.There are other possible sequences. Beginning with the Nth letter, take every Nth letter after. The following values of N will produce totals divisible by seven.
Values of N: 2 6 9 22 23 24 26 31
These eight values add up to 143 (11 x 13).
9.We have already seen odd and even positioned letters. Once again there are other possible sequences. Since the passage has 75 letters, the letters can be grouped in threes.

11.Looking at the first and last leaves out the middle. One could take the middle 73 letters, the middle 71 letters, or 49 letters and so on. Only the middle 21 (3 x 7) letters has a feature. Their total: 1430 = 2 x 5 x 11 x 13. The middle 21 letters range from the 28th to the 48th positions. The sum of all numbers from 28 to 48 is 798 (2 x 3 x 7 x 19).
Alpha and Omega, is, was, and is to come
are all woven into the numeric features. This cannot be coincidence.

Unlike the GNS, there is no corresponding match with the last letter of each word. Nor do the first and last of each word (positions and letters) together have a feature.

Although c) and d) have no feature, they can stand together simply as even valued letters: 2108 + 48 = 2156 (22 x 72 x 11).
Conclusion
As can be seen, the very meaning of Revelation 1:8 can be applied to the words and letters of the text itself to produce numeric features. This is not coincidence. It was designed.
The GNS had more features than the GNT. Why is the text so different? How or why are there two versions of the same verse in the first place? In my opinion, there are two versions because the New Testament brought God to the Gentiles. This was the first shift from Hebrew to a different language, Greek. It foreshadowed the translation of God’s word into many other languages. And translation opened the door to different possibilities because sometimes emphasis, and word choice can produce different results.
