144,000 First Fruits

The second group of 144,000 is entirely different from the group chosen from Israel. The first thing God did, after creating the world and Adam, was to create Eve. He created Eve so Adam would be loved. And He created Eve so Adam would have someone to love. God is love, and the second group of 144,000's main distinguishing feature is love: love for the brethren (those who love Jesus), and love for Jesus' commands. These are people who treat women properly. (Revelation 14:4)

Two previous studies showed how Ezekiel 20 is linked to Revelation 7 (Part A, Part B). However, linking Ezekiel 20 with Revelation 14:1-4 produced poor results. This shows the first group of 144,000 is not the same as the second group.

Here we see how John 13:35-14:17, and Revelation 14:1-4 actually go together.

13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." 36 Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow afterward." 37 Peter said to him, "Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you." 38 Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the cock will not crow, till you have denied me three times. 14:1 "Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way where I am going." 5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, `Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves. 12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; 14 if you ask anything in my name, I will do it. 15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you. (John 13:35-14:17)¹

The opening verse, John 13:35, is the distinguishing mark of Jesus' 144,000. They love one another. The closing verse, John 14:15, is that they love Jesus and keep his commands. The result, or fruit, of this love is that they receive another Counselor and the spirit of truth. (John 14:16-17) [Note: Having the spirit of truth, they will not lie. This ties in with Revelation 14:5 where the 144,000 are spotless and have no lie in their mouths.]

Between these two points are verses where the disciples are concerned about not knowing where Jesus is going, or the way to follow. Jesus said they could not follow him now but would follow later. They would understand after the resurrection that the way to follow Jesus was into death and beyond.

And to reassure his disciples, Jesus told them he was going away to prepare a place for them (John 14:1-3). He would return to bring them to himself, and they would be together forever.

This section has 377 (13 x 29) words, 1615 letters and a numeric total of 114981. This was a prophecy, and its fulfillment is seen in the 144,000 in Revelation 14.

Revelation 14:5 is not part of the numeric section.

—and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are spotless.

This verse is left out by the numeric section because it is already covered in verse 4.

The RSV translation of verse 4 makes it sound as if these 144,000 are celibate and therefore chaste, but this is only one interpretation of the Greek words ουκ εμολυνθησαν, and παρθενοι. ουκ εμολυνθησαν means not causing something to be dirty (not soiled, not smeared, not stained. In other words, it is keeping life spotless, or living the right way. (See how John uses this word in Revelation 3:4.)

παρθενοι describes someone who is not married, or who has not had sexual intercourse, and metaphorically describes someone who is pure. Thus verse 4 could be understood as living the right way with women and being pure. This would naturally entail no lie being found in their mouths. And as first fruits, they are supposed to be the best and therefore spotless.

Nevertheless, verse 5 completes the description of this group of 144,000 even if it is not included in the numeric section. It makes verse 4 even more clear that sexual chastity is not the only meaning of the words. These are people who are morally pure, truly unblemished, and that they do not lie.

7.9.5.7Two numbers, 7 and 13, are related to Jesus and God. It would be interesting to apply both to the matrix, but 7 x 13 = 91, and 91 is larger than any dimension coordinate. If the search for the 91st coordinate were in the 4th dimension, it could wrap around to the beginning. Thus 91 - 79 = 12. Search for all letters with a 4th dimension coordinate that is a multiple of 12. There are 168 of them. Their total: 11914 = 2 x 7 x 23 x 37. SF: 69 = 3 x 23. SF: 26 = 2 x 13.

7.9.5.828 letters have a 4th dimension coordinate of 12. Total of these letters: 3358 = 2 x 23 x 73. SF: 98 = 2 x 7².

Conclusion

John 13:35-14:17, and Revelation 14:1-4 are tied together with many numeric features that follow Revelation 1:8's principle of complementary opposites. The passage in John clarifies why this second group is so special. They love one another, and they love Jesus and his commands. This sets them apart from the first group of 144,000 from Israel. Jesus' promise, or prophecy, that he would return to take his disciples to be with him, is fulfilled in Revelation with the second group of 144,000.
